Company Overview
GTS was officially started in 2007 with 5 employees headed by W.G.T.Fernando. A two storey warehouse was converted into an office environment to facilitate upto 20 employees.
The first official project undertaken by GTS was to create a creative, innovative and eye-catching website for a very important Sri Lankan citizen: Kala Shuri Ariesen Ahubudu. All information about the great individual was to be included with a vision to take the works of Ariesen Ahubudu into cyberspace. www.ahubudu.com
GTS has also ventured into the lucrative (yet untapped) gaming industry in Sri Lanka. Its first innovative Sinhala mobile game was launched on the 8th August 2008 (8-8-8) called ‘Colomba Wate’ (Colombo Ride). The game was available for free for anyone to download via the website and WAP. Due to the huge demand, a 2nd version was also launched, this time giving the facility for 2 gamers to play against each other. This was released on Independence day 2009. www.games.lk. The 3rd version of the game is scheduled to be launched soon by mid 2010. A number of Xbox and PC titles will also be launched in 2010/2011 including ‘Saradiel:Robin Hood of Sri Lanka’ and ‘King Dutugemunu’.
GTS is committed to do what is best for the country. It is focused on giving employment to talented Sri Lankan undergraduate students and recent graduates. GTS is very concerned about the types of projects that it receives. Hence GTS has and will continue to reject proposals which are given by Industries which are considered taboo (such as tobacco, alcohol beverage, casinos).
On the positive note, it will give due prominence to projects of a national interest such as national artists, entrepreneur businesses to name a few.
